Do you use LastPass? If you don't I strongly advise you to start using it. It is the best [citation needed] password management tool in this part of the Milky Way. It is robust, it has never been broken into (although many attempts were taken in the last couple of years, some of them really sophisticated) plus the team behind the product takes its duties extremely seriously.
Because it's been such a huge success, there are - of course - copycats.
Bad copycats.
Smart copycats.
One of them is asilemi.com (apparently owned by HostGator which I personally loathe for their quality of service or rather lack thereof) who managed to do a really nasty (but neat) trick: when you try to install the LastPass Chrome extension and search for LastPass, their plugin comes in front of the original LastPass from lastpass.com. So if you are a newbie, you will most likely fall for this trick and eventually give them your LastPass master password. Good bye, your digital life. Good bye, your credit cards and passwords to all the premium sites with funny cats videos.
Conclusion: be vigilant. Train yourself to always have that extra bit of consciousness up and ready to pick a fight when online. Otherwise scumbags like asilemi.com will eat your brains before you finish saying "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"
